Ouachita County Historical Society: People willing to dress up and portray characters for the Cemetery Walk (usually twice a year). Help with cleaning at the McCollum Chidester House, clean up days at Oakland Cemetery, etc. Call the McCollum Chidester House Museum for more information. (870) 836-9243

OUACHITA COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY NEEDS VOLUNTEERS The Ouachita County Medical Center Auxiliary needs Volunteers. The Auxiliary runs the Gift Shop, the Front Desk and Shows people where to go when they come to the admissions office. The Auxiliary needs people willing to work. The work is not hard but is important. The Auxiliary donates money made from the gift shop to the Hospital. They also give nursing scholarships. Our Mission: To renovate and repurpose the 1937 Fairview High School Gym into a modern, creative arts center and performance hall for area youth, as well as a multipurpose venue for private and public events.
Embrace Grace is a support group for those who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. We offer community, hope, joy, friendship, and a free baby shower. We have been walking alongside mamas in our community since 2022.
Planting A Seed Foundation is a 501C-3, nonprofit organization that began as a service designed to take on the childcare needs of Camden, Arkansas and surrounding area residents. Since its founding in 2007, Planting A Seed has expanded to meeting the needs of Veterans, elderly residents, and families in less fortunate situations.
The Pryce Robertson Autism Awareness Foundation is a nonprofit organization aimed at raising awareness and empowering people with autism to achieve their goals and dreams.
H & P Animal Alliance is a 501c3 non-profit, foster-based dog rescue.We pull dogs from local shelters, have them evaluated by our veterinarians, and either find them local homes or transport to our rescue partners. We also have a low cost spay and neuter program that helps low income families afford to have their pets spayed or neutered, a transport program that works with northern rescues to move adoptable dogs from our area to partner groups, and we supply vaccinations and testing kits to local pounds and shelters.
