Star Spangled Spectacular ~ July 4th
The 24th Annual Star Spangled Spectacular was amazing again this year! Rain threatened, but the skies cleared and our community came out to enjoy bounce houses and rides, delicious food, music, and boasts of South Arkansas' largest fireworks show!

Whether cooking out, camping, or attending the Spectacular, our neighbors and friends know how to celebrate the freedoms we have been blessed with! Happy Independence Day and thank you to all who have served to protect our freedom.
National Night Out · August 1, 2023
From Dana Beasley, Camden Police Department Public Relations Officer:
We appreciate everyone coming out to National Night Out 2023! Thank you to the Radio Works crew Doc and JJ, Camden Fire Department, all the food trucks, vendors and Westy Wynne for the donation of the Dunking Booth and to all the CPD crew! It was a great night! Congratulations to the Camden Fire Department on winning the Olympic Battle!
This breathtaking spot on the Ouachita River is known as Tate's Bluff.

The Tate's Bluff area is steeped in Civil War era history. It is also where the Little Missouri and Ouachita Rivers combine.
Scenic Highway 7 begins in the Ozark Mountains of North West Arkansas, and winds its way down to Louisiana, running through Camden. This stretch of the road will take you into the "old" way of Downtown Camden.

This route is favored by many!
In August of this year, Camden hosted its first annual Hot Air Balloon Festival! This was a beautiful event hosted by the Camden Regional Chamber of Commerce.

We are already looking forward to next year's event!

Events By Month:
Excitement spread throughout the area when it was announced that the Union Pacific "Big Boy" No. 4014 Steam Engine would make its way through much of the United States, including a pass through Camden, AR!
This incredible train, weighing in at 1.2 million pounds is 132 feet long, and is the largest operating steam engine in the world!
Originally delivered to Union Pacific in 1941, it was retired in 1961, but restored back to service in 2019.
This was an amazing sight to see, but also quite amazing to see were the crowds that it gathered.

This is known as Arkansas' Little Grand Canyon! It is located at White Oak Lake, and is found at the end of a short, easy hike!
